I became a teacher to help shape the future of the world. I had so many wonderful teachers who shaped me and were there for me when I was growing up and I wanted to be that for the kids in my community.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was taking my 5th grade students on an environmental education trip for the first time. We spent three days and two nights in the woods and loved watching them learn and explore outside of their comfort zone.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to upgrade my classroom curriculum and furniture. I would also use the money to help pay for our environmental education trip and to buy classroom supplies to help enhance my student’s learning.
