Victoria Miller

Teaching is a calling, I answered. Students need people to hear them, see them and guide them. I believe that is what I do everyday!

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher, because I love working with kids. They want to understand the world around them, even if they don't always know that's what they want. Students thrive on the newness of the world, something we forget as we get older. I'm lucky to be given the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of my students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I didn't think I can choose one experience. Most memorable experience is every experience with students. The opportunity to help a student to understand what they've read with deeper meaning is just as remarkable as helping a student to better understand how to manage their feelings. It all allows me to be apart of so many amazing lives.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I can't even begin to imagine. I think I'd want to celebrate with my school. Perhaps pay for an experience they might not typically get. If want to ask my stuff something they'd like to experience. Then maybe go on a vacation with my husband and son.
