I love teaching because it allows me to create a meaningful, lasting impact on students’ lives by helping them recognize their strengths.

I became a teacher to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives, inspire a lifelong love of learning, and build strong, supportive relationships that help them grow both academically and personally.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences involved two students who were struggling in math and consistently earning C’s and D’s. I decided to assess how they learned best, and we discovered that one was a kinesthetic learner while the other was a visual learner. I adjusted my teaching and assessments to match their learning styles, and both students went on to earn A’s. Years later, they thanked me—one is now a teacher, and the other is a firefighter which made the experience meaningful.
What would you do with the $25,000?As an educator, I would use the $25,000 to create a more engaging and supportive learning environment for my students. This would include purchasing hands-on learning materials and technology to meet different learning styles, providing additional academic resources for students who need extra support, and enhancing the classroom with flexible seating and interactive tools. I would also invest in enrichment opportunities that inspire a love of learning /help students reach their full potential.
