I became a teacher because I truly believe in the power of impacting student lives. Inspiring students to grow, build confidence, and develop a genuine passion for math is what motivates me every day. Watching them realize their potential and succeed reminds me why I chose the classroom.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable classroom moments was watching a student who had faced significant challenges begin to believe in themselves. Seeing their confidence grow and that “light bulb” finally come on was unforgettable. In that moment, I was reminded that education is more than content — it’s about empowerment, growth, and helping students see their own potential.
What would you do with the $25,000?Ultimately, I would use the $25,000 to create a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn — a space where every child, no matter their background, has the opportunity to thrive in math.
