Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe every student deserves someone who sees their potential before they see it in themselves. Teaching gives me the chance to guide, uplift, and open doors for young people who may not know what they are capable of. It’s my way of giving back and creating the kind of support system I wish every child had.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moment was watching a student who once doubted himself step into leadership and mentor others. Seeing him discover his voice and then use it to lift his peers- reminded me why this work matters. It wasn’t just his transformation it was the ripple effect of confidence, hope, and positivity spreading throughout the classroom.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would expand opportunities for my students funding hand- on learning mentorship programs, and real world experiences that build confidence and open pathways. I’d invest in resources that help them dream bigger, prepare for their future and feel seen, supported, and capable every step of the way.
