I became a teacher because I believe in the potential of ever child. It gives me the opportunity to pour into others what has been poured into me. I also felt a deep calling to make a difference in the lives of others. Teaching is not just a profession for me- it is a purpose. I recognized early on that education has the power to change lives, open doors, and break cycles, and I wanted to be a part of that transformation.

My memorable teaching moment reaches beyond one lesson—it defines my purpose. A student once entered my classroom defeated, believing success was impossible. I chose to see his potential, speak life into him, create pathways for growth. Through persistence and care, his confidence blossomed. That transformation reshaped my mission: every child must feel seen, valued, and capable. I don’t just teach lessons—I change lives, ignite belief, and ensure every student discovers their power to succeed.

If I were blessed to win $25,000, I would steward it with intention and impact. I would elevate student learning through innovative resources and real-world experiences, expand after-school enrichment to nurture hidden gifts, and strengthen family partnerships that sustain success beyond the classroom.
