Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because every child deserves a champion. Teaching is about building strong relationships, believing in students, and helping them see their own potential. When students feel supported and valued, they are more willing to take risks and grow. I love helping children discover their strengths and guiding them to reach their full potential as learners and leaders.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most meaningful teaching experiences was looping with a group of students from 3rd to 4th grade. Teaching them for two years allowed us to build strong relationships and deep trust. I was able to watch them grow academically and personally. That bond lasted beyond the classroom; many of those students, now adults, still reach out to me for advice, reminding me how powerful relationships in teaching truly are.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would use it to support my family and invest in experiences that bring us together, like travel and making lasting memories. I would also set aside some for personal growth and future goals. Teaching is a profession of heart, and this opportunity would allow me to take care of myself and my family while continuing to give my best to my students every day.
