I became a teacher because I believe education has the power to transform lives. My passion for teaching began when I was a middle school student myself. I find great joy in helping students understand concepts that once seemed confusing and in witnessing the 'aha' moment when everything finally clicks for them. Teaching allows me to inspire confidence, curiosity, and ambition in my students, empowering them to believe in their abilities and shape their own futures.

One of the most memorable moments for me was on the last day of school when my students became emotional and started crying because they would not see me during the summer break. It was a deeply touching moment that reminded me how strong the bond between a teacher and students can be. Knowing that they would miss our time together made me realize the impact I had on their lives, and it reaffirmed why I chose to become a teacher.

If I were fortunate enough to win the $25,000 Favorite Teacher prize, I would invest it in creating an “Aha! Moment Math Innovation Club.” My goal would be to design a space where students can experience mathematics in a hands-on, engaging way that turns confusion into discovery. I would create a large interactive wall where students physically manipulate math concepts. I would also sponsor free Math camps. And I would spent a portion of money on my family.
