Learn MoreMy love language has always been "acts of service". When I was younger I always wanted to be an elementary teacher. Then when I got to high school I really enjoyed anything that involved math, so I decided I would like my concentration to be mathematics so I decided to be a high school math teacher.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWhen I was teaching at a new school I was teaching Algebra concepts and a majority of the class thanked me for explaining the concepts to them instead of just giving them worksheets or online work. They seemed so excited to learned and commented several times how amazing it was to actually understand the concepts. I actually had one of these students tell me she wrote her college essay about me. The prompt for the essay was, "What/who motivates you to learn?".
What would you do with the $25,000?I would buy calculators, supplies, and equipment for my classroom, as well as take my family on a much needed vacation!
