Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher after working in the banking industry for 10 years. I happened upon the job for an IT person and the panel saw my college transcripts and offered me a job as a teacher. It was a nice change of pace from the previous job.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had a student one year who struggled with sitting still. I crested a folder to pass am imaginary note to another teacher. When he showed the other teacher had a task for him to do before he came back. When he returned, if he still had energy then he would be allowed to pace in the back of the room. To this day, every open house we have he will show up to tell me how thing are going in his life.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off a credit card bill that I used to purchase a lot of supplies and decorations for the classroom.
