Tell us why you became a teacher

I’ve always known I wanted to teach. I’m drawn to students who doubt themselves and love helping them see their potential. There’s nothing better than watching a child go from “I can’t” to “I did.” That moment drives me—I’m committed to helping every student feel capable, confident, and proud of who they are.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

A student with dyslexia once told me he’d never be able to read chapter books. After a year of hard work, he read one on his own. The pride on his face and his quiet “thank you” is something I’ll never forget. That moment—watching him believe in himself—will always stay with me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to ease financial stress on my family so I can fully show up where I’m needed most—as a teacher and as a mom. When that burden is lifted, I can give my students and my daughter my very best. I would also invest in my baby girl’s college fund, building a strong future for her while continuing to support the students I care so deeply about.
