Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I truly believe in the limitless potential of every child. From a young age, I knew this was my calling—I would have my siblings and cousins play “school,” and I always chose to be the teacher. Creating a safe, nurturing environment where students feel seen, valued, and capable brings me purpose. I teach to inspire confidence, foster growth, and help shape bright futures.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was watching a student who once struggled to believe in themselves finally succeed. I remember the moment they read confidently out loud after weeks of practice—the smile, the pride, the sparkle in their eyes. It reminded me why I do this. Seeing growth, resilience, and confidence unfold right in front of me is unforgettable. Those moments stay in my heart forever.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would invest in my class and my students by creating more engaging, hands-on learning experiences and providing resources that help them thrive. At the same time, I would also use it to take a big step toward my personal dreams—buying my own home and building a daycare on my land. I want to create a safe, nurturing space not just for my students now, but for even more children and families in the future.
