One of my passions is helping children in their first years of exposure to school feel at home as we nurture, enrich, and inspire.

Learn MoreThroughout my life, I’ve always been drawn to helping others and supporting schools—especially Saint Anthony School in Kailua, where I volunteered growing up. After earning my degree and working in early learning at UH Mānoa, I knew my heart was calling me back home. Teaching allows me to nurture, inspire, and guide young learners during their most important early years.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moments are when a child finally understands something new—the “lightbulb” moment. Seeing that shift in their confidence and excitement is everything. One student who struggled to engage began participating, smiling, and leading activities. Watching that growth reminded me why I teach: to help children believe in themselves and discover their potential.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest in hands-on learning materials, outdoor classroom enhancements, and sensory-rich resources for my Pre-K students. Funds would also support family engagement events and classroom needs to ensure every child feels supported, inspired, and excited to learn. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where all children can thrive.
