I get to teach photography which is a subject I love. Seeing students produce creative and professional looking photos is wonderful.

I became a teacher because I wanted to work with children and share my passion for photography. It was a perfect match. I love sharing photography with my students. Watching them solve photographic problems is a joy and an inspiration.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have countless memorable moments, but this one truly illustrates the power of teaching. Once, I had a student who seemed disengaged - rarely completing assignments. Yet, a semester after the class, she returned, requesting to print a photo. I looked through her contact sheets and encouraged her to enter a stunning image in a contest. She won! Years later, she told me that experiences gave her the confidence to pursue her photography dreams. This is the why- to encourage and inspire students.
What would you do with the $25,000?$25,000 would be amazing for my classroom. I would be able to supply students with a photo studio with background lighting and canvas background options. I could also get accessories for the lights. It would also be nice to aquire ADOBE PHOTOSHOP for the students.
