I had worked in retail and was not feeling fulfilled. I knew I wanted to do something for others so began searching my options. I came across a program in my area and talked with a few teacher friends and just like that I was on my way to a teaching degree.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWhen I taught 2nd grade, I had a student who never finished any assignments. Because of his home life, he never had any support or help. I began tutoring with him and he loved the extra attention and began trying. His work improved and he started turning in assignments. He moved away and many years later he came back and the second he saw me, he smiled from ear to ear. His words were, "There's my favorite teacher ever!" He came and gave me a huge hug. Melted my heart right on the spot.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my house and take a little trip with my family.
