I became a teacher because I believe education and mentorship can change the direction of a young person’s life. As a coach and mentor, I see how discipline, confidence, and guidance help students grow not only academically but as strong and responsible individuals. Teaching gives me the opportunity to inspire students to believe in themselves and build a better future.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable moments was seeing a shy student who lacked confidence slowly begin to participate, smile, and believe in himself. Through encouragement and discipline in class and physical activity, he discovered his strengths. Watching that transformation reminded me that teaching is not only about lessons—it’s about helping students realize their potential.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest the prize into programs that help students develop healthy lifestyles, discipline, and confidence through sports and education. I would also support classroom resources and create opportunities for students to learn leadership, teamwork, and perseverance.
