I became a teacher because I love working with students each day—guiding them as they grow, learn, and become the best versions of themselves. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing former students and hearing about all they’ve accomplished, knowing that the small but meaningful impact I made helped light their path forward..

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was a student I met during my first summer teaching. Labeled “bad” because of ADHD and impulsive behavior, he was truly a sweet child who just wanted to succeed. I encouraged his parent to apply to our school and advocated for him to be given a chance. He worked harder than anyone I’ve seen. When a student once retained in 4th grade earned a Level 5 on the state math test, my heart overflowed with pride and joy.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000, I would use it to help purchase a home and create a place rooted in stability and peace. Having a home of my own would be more than an investment—it would be a foundation for my future..
