Tell us why you became a teacher

I have had in my life some of the best and worst teachers. I aspire to be more than that. I didn't want to be the worst obviously, I want to be the most. I want to be one of the most impactful, the constant in a student's , the one they come to always to hear them and care about them.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I teach junior high. I have had many students that come back to give me graduation announcements, they come to ask me questions about life and they come to catch me up in what's going on with graduation, college, marriage and life. I had a student that came to ask me advice on making big choices of military or college. I don't ever want to give them advice on this as I'm a fan of both. I didn't know that they valued my opinion!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would like to help my son in law go back to school to become a teacher. Id love to take my patient husband on a vacation after putting up with my early mornings, late nights and grading at weird hours often cutting into our time.
