Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because it was my calling from God and because I love teaching children, and watching them grow and learn and be able to take what they learned and apply it to everyday life. So supplying a child with the education that they need to make it in life is everything to me I truly do believe in no child left behind I not only teach the educational part that they need, but also the physical needs of any child that I come in contact with I will always make sure they have everything.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment I would have to say is when I started working with special-needs children, and I had no clue and what I was doing or what I was about to face, but that day I started there was a little boy in my class that taught me that there is beauty in everything we do he told me, Miss Tamla you got this and you are here for me and my friends and he took my hand and he told me he was so glad that I was his teacher because he could feel I was a good person sent by God

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would take the $25,000 and rearrange and buy things that my students need not only for just the classroom but anything that they may need at home. I want to make sure that every child has the opportunity to learn in the environment that is safe and they feel safe and know that I am there for them. I would also like to start a literacy program for children who have dyslexia and Also, I would love to open my own daycare and tutoring center for all children to be able to attend no matter the need
