I became a teacher because I believe one caring adult can change a student’s story. I wanted to create a classroom where students feel seen, challenged, and capable of more than they imagined. Teaching lets me share my love of learning while helping young people find their voices, build confidence, and discover the power of their own potential.

One of my most memorable teaching moments was watching a quiet student finally find their voice. After weeks of encouragement, they shared their thoughts during a class discussion, and the entire room listened. The pride on their face was unforgettable. What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000 prize from America’s Favorite Teacher, I would invest part of it back into my classroom—expanding my library, adding engaging learning resources, and creating more opportunities for my students. I would also use it to help my family finish building our home, allowing us to fully put down roots and continue growing in the school community we love. 📚🏡✨
