Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I started my school career as a bus driver, then I needed a change so I became a lunch lady. After several years serving students lunch, I wanted to be in the classroom so I got my certification as a paraprofessional. I worked with autistic students in level 2 and loved it. I went back to college to became a teacher. Now, I teach 2nd grade.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was my first year teaching and then seeing those students in the hall and they always want to say "hello" or tell me something and give hugs.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would buy a camper. I want to be able to travel during the school breaks and enjoy travelling the United States.
