I have such a love for science and all I want is for students to be more curious about the world around them and hopefully I can help!

The initial interest for teaching came from my middle school history teacher who made learning an experience. As I got older, my love for science grew and my goal became science teaching. Science can be a daunting subject and I wanted students to find the joy of learning about mind-boggling concepts and appreciate the awe the universe has to offer.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe story that stands out involves a student finding their love for science. As I wrapped up my second year of teaching 7th grade science, I had a parent reach out to me and express gratitude for helping their child rekindle their love for biology. This student would graduate with high honors in science courses with the goal of pursuing a science degree.
What would you do with the $25,000?Like any teacher, a large portion would go towards students but I would also use the money to become a better teacher. I would use some of the funds to pay for the rest of my doctoral program and use the money to attend conferences outside of my state.
