I got so much value out of being involved in music programs. I wanted to be able to give to others some of the things music gave to me.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceAfter 30÷ years in the classroom, my most memorable experience was the first time one of my guitar ensembles received straight superior ratings at competition. My kuds went crazy and at that moment believed they could indeed accomplish anything!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would buy my students instruments they could keep after they graduate My students largely come from historically undeserved communities. Buying an instrument is a low priority. I want them to keep making music their entire lives.
