Tell us why you became a teacher

I love the ah ha moments when kids get something. Being able to guide children and give them a safe place to learn always appealed to me. We can all remember that one teacher who made a difference, I wanted to be that teacher.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The first student I worked with that had autism. I remember the trust he and his parents put in me everyday. I got credit for his growth, when all I did was support him in the way he learned.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Put it in my kids college fund or pay off my car. Donate to the local food bank I volunteer at. Throw a party for my students.
