I was a flight attendant and I got hired as a teacher’s aid. I sat in the back of the room and watched this guy teach kids or at least try to and I went to the principal and said I can do this better and they helped me get emergency certified, and I never looked back.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience2026 has been an amazing year for me so far. I just got a chance to be the coach of a unified cheerleading squad. We had our first practice last week and it was amazing. Some of the students in the program are nonverbal and their are paraprofessionals said their verbal participation in cheer was some of the most verbal they have ever been.
What would you do with the $25,000?I need unified cheerleading uniforms some of my students are wheelchair bound. We will need outfits that fit there except exceptional abilities. I asked a booster club to get us pom-poms and they came to me with the worst pom-poms that look like party favors. Cheerleading changed my life. It gave me an opportunity to know so many girls with different stories than mine. I never felt more complete than when I was cheering on a team. I wanna make sure these kids have the opportunity to do that
