Tell us why you became a teacher

Helping others has always been a passion of mine! I love empowering kids to accomplish things, especially when it’s a subject they struggle with. Kids are the future. I wish everyone would invest in our future as much as teachers do!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

During my very first year of teaching, I had a student who was repeating 8th grade. He felt defeated, stupid, hopeless, etc. I carefully picked each moment to call on him when I knew had come up with the correct answers. His confidence began to soar and he became our turnaround student of the year!

What would you do with the $25,000?

Honestly, it would be a huge burden off my shoulders to pay off my personal loan and credit card debt!!! It would greatly reduce my stress!
