Empowering children with curiosity and a love for learning is my passion.

My original degree is Interior Design. I worked as a designer for 8 years and didn't find it as fulfilling as I'd hoped. I began teaching Preschool choir at church and immediately knew teaching young children was my calling!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experiences are always when I see learning "click" in a student's mind. With 4-yr-olds, almost everything is new learning. However, the learning is more touching when the student has special needs and/or is an English Language Learner. Teaching science concepts in a "hands on" manner creates lasting memories for all learners. That has been obvious with lessons on colors, shapes, textures and shadows. There are too many incredible experiences to name just one.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I could help implement a school garden and outdoor tactile learning area for our campus.
