That’s such such a powerful question: 🍎 I love watching growth. There’s nothing like seeing a student finally read a tricky word, understand a new concept, or gain confidence. I build materials at different levels because I care about every learner growing. Teaching isn’t just academics — it’s encouragement, patience, and believing in kids when they don’t yet believe in themselves. Teachers shape how children see themselves and the world. That’s big work. Meaningful work.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

A student who has been struggling with reading suddenly reads a sentence smoothly. They pause… look up… and smile. That spark of confidence? That’s unforgettable. A student who doesn’t usually say much leaves a note that says, “You’re the best teacher.” I may never know how much I meant to them — but that moment stays with me!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would create a Student Support Fund    •   Winter gear closet    •   Book gifting program    •   Emergency snack supply    •   Classroom celebrations & incentives Sometimes the most powerful use of funds isn’t academic — it’s making sure kids feel safe and cared for.
