Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience was that moment when I gained the trust of a student with severe behavioral issues, or having a quiet, struggling student express that you made them feel capable of trying again. Being in the Special Education world I deal with behaviors on a daily basis. These make memorable teaching moments.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would replace outdated, rigid desks with standing desks, yoga balls, comfortable reading corners, and collaborative, mobile furniture to improve student comfort and engagement. Invest in individual, high-quality devices, 3D printers, or specialized STEM kits that the school budget does not cover. Purchase diverse, high-interest, and current literature to foster a love of reading. I would field trips, bring in guest speakers, or buy materials for hands-on, long-term project-based learning.
