Learn MoreI knew from an early age that I wanted to be a teacher. When asked what I wanted to play whenever I was younger, I would always say let’s pretend like I’m a teacher and you are my students. It was from there that I would observe teachers and what they did as well as how they treated others and knew that this was what my lifelong passion would be. I became a teacher to fulfill my passion, but also to help others find theirs.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is actually happening right now. After working for four other school districts, I finally landed my dream job with the school district I have always wanted to work for. I am currently teaching a keystone class which is like career orientation on steroids. I have been asked to teach upper level business courses next year in order to help our students achieve more credentials and certifications as they move to post secondary schools or workforce.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest in my future with the $25,000. I have paid off all of my student loan loans over the years by selling rental properties that my husband and I own so I would take that money and invest it wisely to help aid us in our retirement
