Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I am passionate about helping students grow and discover new opportunities through learning. As a Spanish teacher, I enjoy guiding students as they develop communication skills and explore Hispanic cultures. Seeing their confidence grow as they begin to understand and use the language is incredibly rewarding and reminds me why education matters

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was helping a student who felt lost about her future and didn’t seem to care about what would happen after graduation. Through conversations and encouragement, I was able to guide her in exploring possible career paths and help her see that she had potential. In that moment, I realized that teaching is not only about content, but also about helping students believe in themselves and dream about their future.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest part of it in my education and profesional development. I would also set aside some some of the money to support my family and create meaningful experiences, like trading and learning opportunities. I believe using it to grow personally and support the people around me would make the greatest impact.
