I wanted to share my passion and love for great books, scientific inquiry, and make a difference to kids who need someone to believe in them.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable is when my third grade students trained a goldfish to ring a bell. This unit brought multiple ability levels together and kids pushed themselves to learn more.
What would you do with the $25,000?I want to start a dahlia garden for neurodiverse kids. My daughter is on the spectrum and we grow dahlias in our yard and show them at county fairs. It’s a very rewarding and peaceful experience which brings beauty and joy to those that receive them. It also helps raise awareness to the importance of local pollinators while teaching kids how to be self sufficient.
