Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe every student deserves someone who sees their potential and helps them build the skills and confidence to succeed. I am especially passionate about supporting students who learn differently and ensuring they have access to meaningful, real-world learning experiences that prepare them for life after high school. Teaching allows me to create opportunities for students to grow academically, socially, and personally while helping them develop independence!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Being part of Special Olympics MA and serving as a Unified Coach at Milford High School has been one of my most memorable experiences. Through Unified Sports, I have watched students build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging. Seeing my students grow, accomplish their goals, and truly flourish both on and off the field continually reminds me why I love what I do and motivates me to keep going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were awarded the $25,000, I would take a well-deserved vacation to recharge and spend time with my family. I would also donate a portion of the money back to the Unified Sports Program at Milford High School to help support equipment, events, and opportunities that continue to create inclusive experiences and meaningful connections for our students.
