Tell us why you became a teacher

I was always involved in sports growing up, and I wanted to share my skill knowledge with kids who hopefully will have a great experience and develop a lifelong healthy lifestyle by something they learned from me.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

During a 4th & 5th grade archery unit watching students who had never done it before have success and get excited and show happiness with their success and skill acquisition. Then going home and asking their parents if they could get a bow and arrow set. Later seeing some of my students I would have least expected joining the high school archery team. Kind of made me feel proud of what I had introduced them too.

What would you do with the $25,000?

First thing I would do is provide lunch for all the staff at my school! (They are the best!) also with $25,000 I would probably invest in upgrading some of our PE equipment, then share some enjoyable moments with my own family, children, and grandchildren.
