I became a teacher to advocate for every child, especially those with learning differences who are too often underestimated. I believe education should unlock potential, not label limitations. When students learn to overcome obstacles and believe in themselves, they don’t just change their grades, they change their futures, and the generations to come as they inspire.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching moments was when a former student called to tell me that she became a teacher because of my influence. That full-circle moment reminded me that teaching is not just about lessons, it’s about legacy. When we pour into one child the impact multiplies beyond what we can see.
What would you do with the $25,000?$25,000 will scale proven, competency-based programs that equip students with critical thinking, financial literacy, and STEM skills. Funds will expand project-based learning, and remove financial barriers. This would be a measurable transformation.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Teacher, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
