I love teaching PE because it helps kids build confidence, enjoy moving, and realize they are capable of more than they thought.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to make a positive impact on children's lives. I find joy in helping students grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and achieve success. Building meaningful relationships and fostering a supportive environment where every child feels valued motivates me. Knowing that I can influence how students view themselves and their abilities makes my role incredibly rewarding.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable PE experiences was teaching a student to ride a balance bike who initially refused to try because they were scared and frustrated. With patience, encouragement, and small successes, they eventually glided across the gym independently. The pride and excitement on their face — and their classmates cheering — was unforgettable. That moment showed the power of confidence, perseverance, and feeling supported.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000, I’d split it into thirds: $8,300 for investing to grow my money; $8,300 for adventure and fun, like travel, hobbies, and experiences I’ve always wanted to try; and $8,300 for security, building an emergency fund, and paying down debt or boosting retirement savings—practical, playful, and stress-free.
