Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. From an early age, I understood the power that a caring, patient, and encouraging teacher can have on a student’s confidence and future. I wanted to be that person—the one who believes in students even when they struggle to believe in themselves. Teaching allows me to combine my love for learning with my desire to serve others. I enjoy breaking down challenging Math and Science concepts.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most meaningful teaching experiences was with my second-grade students when they learned to multiply for the first time. We began by using repeated addition, building on what they already knew. As we worked through examples together, I guided them to see the connection between adding the same number again and again and how multiplication represents that idea more efficiently. The moment they made the correlation was unforgettable. Their faces lit up with excitement.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the contest, I would use the $25,000 responsibly and with intention. I would first pay down outstanding bills to reduce financial stress and create greater stability for myself and my family. Eliminating debt would allow me to focus more fully on my personal and professional goals without the burden of financial worry. The remaining funds would be set aside for my retirement. Contributing to my retirement savings would help secure my future and provide long-term peace of mind.
