I became a teacher to share my PASSION for Culinary through education with the NEXT GENERATION CHEFS. I absolutely LOVE helping my students be creative and build their confidence with real-world skills in the kitchen. Teaching allows me to prepare them for careers and becoming business owners, while showing them the POWER of communication, teamwork, and leadership.

One of my most memorable teaching experience was my 7th & 8th grade Culinary students at the South Florida Fair Bake-Off Competition . Students worked in teams to create their own recipes, increase, decrease, substitute, budget ingredients, plate and present their tasty dishes to the judges. Watching timid students step into leadership roles and PROUDLY explaining their dishes was EPIC. It wasn't just about baking, it was about cultivating, mastering and developing professional skills.

I would renovate/upgrade my whole entire classroom and lab. 1. Kitchen equipments 2. Stainless steel prep table 3. 2 Convection Oven 4. Carts 5. Build our own garden for herbs 6. Field trip fees and Competitions 7. Furnitures for restaurant simulations. These would be the things I would do with the $25,000, and would also love to donate to a charity to represent our Congress Middle School Culinary Program
