I wanted a career in which I could help people. As a teacher I help young people everyday learn the skills they will need for college and careers after high school graduation. I’m very glad to go to work each day because I enjoy teaching and learning.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience when I was being observed while having students complete a history gallery walk around the classroom. My students followed directions and seemed to enjoy learning while moving. My observer complimented me and said she has not seen such a wonderful lesson with that level of student engagement.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would try to use the $25,000 wisely. First, I would give a portion of it to either my school for field trip busses or the Special Olympics. I would use the remaining as a down payment for a house by my school.
