I became a teacher because it is more than a career, it is my calling. For nearly 20 years, from volunteering as a high school student to leading my own classroom, my passion has been to leave an indelible mark on every child I encounter. Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience began when I arrived in the USA in 2022. As an international teacher, I had to unlearn and relearn my approach while navigating language barriers with my first class. It wasn’t easy, but we grew together. By the end of the year, when my students thanked me for igniting their love for learning, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and purpose that reminded me why I teach.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I win the $25,000, I would first complete my Master’s degree, a dream I had to pause due to financial hardship. I would also clear lingering debts that have weighed on my journey and support my husband in completing his course of study. This opportunity would not only uplift me but strengthen my family, allowing us to grow, serve, and continue impacting others with purpose.
