Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI once had a white female teenager, her name was Lacy, flip her desk over and call me the B word. I loved her and couldn't understand why she would hurt me like that. Soon after, I learned that she couldn't read. She couldn't do what I was asking her to do, and it's much easier to flip a desk and curse out your students, than it is to allow your peers to know that you can't read. It was a game changer for me.
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay off my van (I need it to help families) and use the rest, $15,000, to expand the food pantry at our school.
