Tell us why you became a teacher

Teaching allows me to inspire, motivate, and guide students through both academic and personal growth. Many young people face challenges that make learning difficult, and I want to help them believe in themselves despite those obstacles. I want them to know their voice matters, their dreams are possible, and their past does not define their future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences as a teacher was supporting a student who truly needed someone to believe in him. He faced many challenges that could have easily discouraged him from finishing school. There were times when things were difficult, but he remained resilient and determined to keep going. I tried to be the person who encouraged him, held him accountable, and reminded him that he was capable of success even when he doubted himself. When graduation day came, he delivered a speech

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were given $25,000, I would first invest in completing my education so that I can continue growing as a teacher and leader. Finishing school would allow me to strengthen my knowledge, gain additional certifications, and better serve the students and youth in my community. I would also use part of the funds to start a mentorship program for young girls in our community. The program would focus on teaching healthy coping skills, career readiness, and building sisterhood.
