I come from a long background of teachers. My grandfather taught Latin then became a principal and superintendent in Wisconsin. My Aunt was also an elementary teacher. I was a struggling learner, so I decided I wanted to make a difference and became a teacher.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI hand a special needs student that I taught math to for 2 years because she connected with me. She finally remembered how to do long multiplication by the end of the second year. She was so happy, and so was I. She remembered me when she graduated. It was a touching moment for both of us.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would like to pay off my new granddaughters hospital bill and start her a college fund so she doesn’t have to worry about her future so much.
