Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I truly believe it is something I am innately purposed to do. I also became a teacher because the great teachers I had made such an imprint on my life. Twenty years later, their words of wisdom still ring in my heart and mind.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was in tenth grade. My English teacher found a way to incorporate song lyrics to teach us literary devices. In that moment, I became aware that learning could be both fun and rigorous at the same time.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to pay off student loans and prepare for graduate school.
