I became a teacher because I care deeply about people especially young people. I saw a need, and instead of walking past it, I stepped into it. I wanted to be the adult you know every child deserves, someone who sees them, believes in them, and shows up consistently. Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are moments in teaching that stay with you forever… and this is one of mine.I had a senior who had failed his EOC test three times. He was running out of time just four months left before graduation and everything depended on this one test. For two months, we worked. Long days, different strategies, encouragement when he felt defeated, and reminding him over and over that he could do this. After he took the test, I heard Coach Holt as he was yelling down the hall! I passed!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would give back to my classroom and take my husband on a trip!
