I love teaching children because I inspire confidence, spark curiosity, and help them grow into capable, lifelong learners.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children who often feel overlooked or less than others. I believe every child deserves to feel proud of who they are and what they can achieve. My goal is to create a space where they feel seen, valued, and capable of success, no matter their background or challenges.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was with a child who had been struggling all year. He had a hard time making friends, fought a lot. I was able to build a solid relationship with him by letting him help me build a ca one for my classroom. After that he was a completely different child. Started working harder, getting better grades and even making solid friendships. Today he is at the top of his class and doing amazing!

What would you do with the $25,000?

Winning the America’s Greatest Teacher contest and receiving $25,000 wouldn’t just change my classroom—it would change how my students see themselves. I became a teacher to reach the children who feel overlooked, the ones who walk in already believing they are “less than.” This opportunity would allow me to show them they are anything but. I would transform my classroom into a space where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn.
