I became a teacher to inspire, guide, and create safe spaces where children feel seen, valued, and confident in who they are becoming.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was helping a struggling student learn to read. He often said, “I can’t.” Through patience, small group support, and encouragement, he finally blended his first word independently. His face lit up with pride and he whispered, “I can do it.” That moment reminded me that teaching isn’t just academics, it’s building confidence and belief in every child’s ability to succeed.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would open a daycare center that goes beyond childcare by providing transportation and teacher support for children’s doctor appointments while parents work. I would also start a dance studio designed especially for children with disabilities, giving them a safe space to express themselves freely, build confidence, and experience joy through movement and creativity.
