I didn’t become a teacher, I followed my path in nursing which lead me to teaching the next generation’s of healthcare professionals. I have always enjoyed helping people develop into the best version of themselves through their healthcare career, either as a nurse mentor or mentor to other nursing support staff. We are all a team when it comes to caring for patients!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceEach time a student calls me to tell me that they saved a life!!! That they saved a life and it was because of the life saving instructions that I taught them. Either through CPR, first aid, or something else I empowered them to be able to do in a life saving emergency! Those moments make what I do worth every minute of every day!
What would you do with the $25,000?I don’t really know- maybe use it to get my Doctorate. I would invest it in a worthy project either way :)
