I became a teacher because I believe one adult can change a child’s entire trajectory. I wanted to be that adult. I’m wired to lead, build, and pour into students who need someone to believe in them. Teaching math isn’t just about standards—it’s about creating confidence, structure, and hope. Every day I get to turn “I can’t” into “I can,” and that impact is my purpose.

One of my most memorable moments was when a student who had always struggled academically told me, “I didn’t think I was smart until this year.” Watching him grow from withdrawn and defeated to confident enough to lead math discussions reminded me why I teach. It wasn’t just about improving scores—it was about changing his self-belief. That transformation is what stays with me.

I would create a transformative classroom experience—flexible seating, updated technology, hands-on math, and a student leadership and wellness initiative. I serve students who deserve access to innovative learning environments and enrichment opportunities. This funding would directly impact their confidence, achievement, and future opportunities—giving them resources that match their potential.
