I love teaching because I love inspiring students to want to learn and apply what they learn to the real world.

Learn MoreI became a teacher to help others understand math and science better. I had helped many of my friends through high school math classes (that we were in together) and found that many times I could break it down simpler than the teacher could or I could apply it to something that they cared about which made them want to learn it or at least feel that it wasn't useless and a waste of time.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when I was teaching 2D kinematics and we did a water balloon drop experiment. I walked under a window, and students had to try to time their drop of a water balloon so that it landed on my head. I didn't tell them that I had spare clothes, but threw down the gauntlet of I dont think you can do it, so I'm not gonna use a rain coat, a hat, an umbrella... I'm just gonna walk under the window. One group managed to hit me directly on the head.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would be using the $25,000 to help me purchase my first home. I have been saving up for a few years and would really like to get out of renting and settled into a space that I can permanently call my own. I work as a teacher, coach after school, and pet sit when I can all to work for my goals!
